The starting point.
The brief allowed new furniture, curtains and ceiling lighting, while keeping the existing walls, floor and window structure as design constraints. The aim was a more personal room, with several distinctly different styles to compare.

CONCEPT DIRECTION 01
Crisp color. Clear contrast.
A blue rug and chrome lines give the strong red floor a deliberate partner. The orange cabinet brings that color conversation up from the floor.

- A large blue textile area changes the balance of visible red without changing the tiles.
- The glass table and slim metal frames keep several pieces from reading as one heavy block.
- Blue artwork, a cushion and the throw repeat the palette at different heights, tying the choices together.
CONCEPT DIRECTION 02
Soft shapes. Rich color.
A rounded green sofa, plum rug and rose curtains turn the red floor into part of a richer, softer palette. A pale accent chair gives the saturated colors room to breathe.

- The plum rug and rose curtains echo the floor's warmth; the green sofa adds a distinct counterpoint.
- Rounded seating and a tall oval mirror soften the repeated rectangular lines of tile, window and cabinet.
- Wood, glass and a gold frame add different visual textures without adding more large color blocks.
CONCEPT DIRECTION 03
Warm wood. Everyday personality.
Mustard upholstery, warm wood and cream curtains make the red floor feel at home in a collected room. Green details and the striped reading chair keep the warm palette varied.

- The mustard sofa and wood cabinet share the floor's warmth, while cream curtains create a quieter background.
- Green drawers, a cushion and the rug repeat a second color through the room.
- The reading chair, artwork and record-player vignette suggest a specific everyday atmosphere rather than a generic neutral room.
